Architectural Urbanist Suzette is an architect by training and works in a number of fields. She is also the co-director of a non-profit company called 1to1 – Agency of Engagement where she is responsible for coordinating neighbourhood making projects and engagement of various stakeholders around issues of spatial inequality, in-situ upgrading, participatory practices and the intersection between policy and practice.

 

She has experience in teaching architectural design students, action research, and the facilitation of learning opportunities between various stakeholders. She is interested in ideas of co-production and uncovering design potential in all people to solve problems creatively, together

 

 She is also curious about methods and processes applied in the technology sector and the impact it can have on addressing spatial inequality in Southern African cities.
