Marta Prostigo
Marta is a Professional Architect, urban designer and consultant, with
strong technical skills specialized in projects of urban regeneration,
development and strategic planning. Has an extended knowledge of
sustainability, international development and urban resilience, and is
committed to urban health and inclusivity.
Her professional objectives and interests focus on bringing with her work
a positive contribution to the built environment, to improve the living
conditions of its inhabitants and their social cohesion.
Since being part of the urban design team in Arup London she has been
involved in projects of multiple scales, from concept to completion, and
worked internationally in Europe, Africa, Bangladesh and the Middle East.
She combines an ability for analysis and understanding of the context,
with innovative solutions and creative designs. Rigorous and attentive to
detail, she ensures the delivery of high-quality results.
Highly committed, proactive, and problem-solving oriented, with strong
skills for organisation, coordination and management of deadlines. Has
an excellent capability to work in teams, as well as within international
and multi-cultural environments.
Over the past seven years, she has been part of the Urban design team of the international firm Arup, and worked in a wide range of projects,
from the strategic and territorial scale to detailed design of public
spaces, including project management and the coordination of large
multidisciplinary teams.
During these years, she has also worked with the NGO SAFE in
Bangladesh, as project management for low-cost housing and
sanitation projects, and collaborated in other Arup-cause projects in
DRC.
Prior to joining Arup, she has been a key member at both Plasma Studio
and Groundlab, internationally-renowned architecture and urban design
offices based in London, and worked at Fundación Metrópoli Urban-Lab,
an international organisation focused on the innovation, development
and delivery of sustainable architecture and urban restoration within
cities and regions.
She combined her studies on architecture, specialised in both design
and engineering, with working in a number of passive-house projects
with the consulting and design office of at Poscon Viviendas E0, and
collaborations with the construction company Cinna in Spain.
